Hi, I’m Kevin Samuels. I’m a Los Angeles-based Sound Designer and Game Audio Enthusiast. I’m passionate about sonic storytelling, and a fascinated with audio’s role in interactive and visual experiences.
I got my start in game audio in 2012 at WayForward. What started as a 2 week internship has since turned into a decade long, incredible ride. Over the years, I’ve collaborated with many talented devs, musicians, and creatives to ship dozens of games. I’ve designed, created, and implemented audio on small indie titles, big-budget multi-platform releases, and everything in-between.
Since 2020, I have been the Audio Department Lead at WayForward. In addition to sound design, I’ve spent the past 2 years assembling a world-class audio team, developing and refining our pipelines and standards, and working tirelessly to advocate and raise the bar for audio at the studio. This has been one of the most fulfilling journeys of my career, and I can’t wait for everyone to hear what we’ve been working on.
Outside of work, you can typically find me riding my bicycle, playing games, taking photographs, or enjoying life in the LA Area with my wife and 2 cats.
